Where is Mount Eagle Located?
Mount Eagle is found in the southern part of Howard Township. It sits along Old Route 220. The community is southeast of Bald Eagle Creek. This creek flows into a larger body of water called Foster J. Sayers Lake.
The tall Bald Eagle Mountain ridge is also to the southeast of the town. Old Route 220 ends a short distance northeast of Mount Eagle. This is because the lake now covers part of its old path. So, you can only reach Mount Eagle by road from the southwest. This route goes through Boggs Township. The town of Howard is about 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast. However, it's about 9 miles (14.5 km) by road because of the lake.
