History of Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant was first managed by the borough of Sumner. In September 1920, most of the local property owners, called ratepayers, asked for the area to join Heathcote County. At that time, Mount Pleasant was mostly farmland with about 21 houses and 80 people.
