Moussa Benhamadi (born January 4, 1953 – died July 17, 2020) was an important Algerian politician and researcher. He was a member of a political group called the National Liberation Front (FLN).

Moussa Benhamadi's Life and Career
Early Career in Technology
Moussa Benhamadi started his career as a computer engineer. He was also a researcher who studied information systems and networks. In 1985, he created a special research center. This center later became the first internet provider in Algeria in 1993. He led this important center until 2002.
Entering Politics
In 2002, Benhamadi was chosen to be a member of the People's National Assembly. This is like being a representative in the government. He represented the area of Bordj Bou Arréridj.
Leadership Roles
Later, in 2008, Moussa Benhamadi became the CEO of Algérie Télécom. A CEO is the chief executive officer, the top leader of a company. He held this important job for two years. From 2010 to 2012, he served as the Minister of Communication. This means he was in charge of things like media and internet for the country. His brother, Abderrahmane, managed their family's telecommunications company.
Later Years and Passing
Moussa Benhamadi passed away on July 17, 2020, in Bordj Bou Arréridj. He was 67 years old. He died from COVID-19, which was part of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
