What MEDEF Does
MEDEF helps businesses in France. It has more than 750,000 member companies. A huge number, about 90 percent, are small and medium enterprises (SMEs). These are smaller businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
Supporting Businesses and the Economy
MEDEF works to represent these businesses. They talk to leaders and lawmakers at different levels. This includes local towns, regions, the whole country of France, and even the European Union. This talking to leaders is called lobbying. It means they try to influence decisions that affect businesses.
Promoting Sustainable Practices
MEDEF International also helps French business leaders. They organize trips to other countries, especially developing countries. These trips help French companies work on projects there. MEDEF also believes in “sustainable development”. This means they teach companies that protecting the environment can also help them be more successful.
Who Leads MEDEF
