The Mudéjar Theme Park is a special place in Olmedo, Valladolid, Spain. It's a miniature park, which means it has tiny versions of famous buildings. This park shows off 21 amazing scale models of castles and churches from the Castilla y León area. These models are built in the unique Mudéjar style.

Mudéjar is a very old and special way of building that you can only find in Spain. It mixes ideas from both Muslim (Moorish) and Christian (Gothic) art. This style became popular a long time ago, after a period called the Reconquista. The models in the park are usually built at a scale of 1:6 or 1:8. This means they are six or eight times smaller than the real buildings.

Park History

The Mudéjar Theme Park first opened its doors in 1999. Since then, it has become a popular spot for visitors.

Exploring the Park

The park covers a large area, almost 15,000 square meters. That's about the size of two football fields!

Amazing Miniature Buildings

The biggest model you can see is the castle of La Mota. It has been on display since 2003. This huge model is so detailed that it's believed to have the same number of bricks as the real castle. That's about 2,500,000 bricks! The model itself covers 140 square meters and stands 6.16 meters tall.

Other important buildings you can explore as models include the Castle of Coca from Segovia. You can also see models of churches from Valladolid, like those in Pozáldez and San Andrés de Olmedo. There are also models of churches from Fresno el Viejo and San Pedro de Alcázarén.

Fun Features and Nature

Beyond the miniature buildings, the park offers more fun things to see. There are miniature trains that run through the park. These trains are built at a scale of 1:22.5, making them very small and detailed.

The park also has two lakes and a pond with fountains. For younger visitors, there's a playground. You'll also find models of the Adaja and Eresma rivers. These artificial rivers flow through the park, just like the real rivers flow through the Spanish countryside. The park is also home to more than 300 different types of plants.

The Mudéjar Theme Park is one of the most visited places in Olmedo. It's a great way to learn about Spanish history and architecture in a fun, miniature world.
