The Story of Lucas Silva e Silva
The show is all about Lucas Silva e Silva, a ten-year-old boy played by Luciano Amaral. Lucas lives in a townhouse in São Paulo with his family. His dad, Rogério (Antônio Fagundes), is a busy teacher. His mom, Carolina (Mira Haar), works at a clothing store. Lucas also has an older sister named Juliana (Mayana Blum) and a kind maid named Rosa (Ana D’Lira).
For his birthday, Lucas gets a special gift from his grandfather, Orlando (Gianfrancesco Guarnieri). It's a tape recorder! Lucas loves to use this tape recorder to record all his childhood dreams and amazing fantasies. These imaginative stories are a big part of every episode.
Spin-off Series: Lucas and Juquinha
After Mundo da Lua finished, the main character, Lucas, returned for a new show in 1993. This was a short, educational mini-series called Lucas e Juquinha em Perigo! Perigo! Perigo! (Lucas and Juquinha in Danger! Danger! Danger!).
This series had five episodes. In it, Lucas helps his younger cousin, Juquinha. They learn how to stay safe from common dangers around the house. These dangers included things like medicines, fire, and electricity. It was a fun way to teach kids about safety!
Mundo da Lua Returns in 2020
In April 2020, Luciano Amaral, the actor who played Lucas, created a special new episode. This episode was made during the lockdown period. It was called Bem-vindos de volta ao Mundo da Lua (Welcome back to Mundo da Lua).
This new episode was shared on social media. Its main goal was to encourage people to stay safe at home during the pandemic. Later, in September 2020, another new episode of Mundo da Lua was made. This one used artificial intelligence to help create it!
