Murray Alan Wing, born on October 14, 1950, is a retired Canadian ice hockey player. He played as a defenceman, a player whose main job is to stop the other team from scoring goals. Murray played in one game in the top professional league, the National Hockey League (NHL), for the Detroit Red Wings. This happened during the 1973–74 season, on April 7, 1974, against the Chicago Black Hawks. His hockey career lasted from 1971 to 1977. Most of his time playing hockey was spent in other professional leagues, often called "minor leagues."

Murray Wing's Hockey Journey
Murray Wing started his hockey journey playing junior hockey in Canada. He played for teams like the Westfort Hurricanes. After that, he played college hockey at the University of North Dakota.
Playing in Professional Leagues
After college, Murray joined professional hockey. He played for several teams in different leagues. These included the Oklahoma City Blazers in the Central Professional Hockey League (CHL). He also played for the Boston Braves in the American Hockey League (AHL).
His NHL Game
Murray's big moment in the NHL came with the Detroit Red Wings. He played just one game for them. Even though it was only one game, it's a special achievement for any hockey player. After his time with the Red Wings, he continued to play in other leagues. He even played for the London Lions in England for a season.
Later Career Teams
Later in his career, Murray played for the Thunder Bay Twins. He played for them in the USHL and the OHA Senior A League. He retired from playing professional hockey in 1977.
