The Museum Kimchikan (Hangul: 뮤지엄 김치간) is a special food museum in Seoul, South Korea. It used to be called the Kimchi Field Museum. This museum is all about kimchi, which is a very important and popular food in Korean cuisine. It first opened its doors in 1986. It was the first museum of its kind in Korea. Since then, it has moved to new locations two times.

How Much It Costs
To visit the museum, there are different prices:
- Adults (19 years and older) pay KRW 5,000.
- Teens (8-18 years old) pay KRW 3,000.
- Younger children (3-7 years old) pay KRW 2,000.
If you want to join the Cabbage Kimchi Workshop, it costs KRW 25,000.
Museum's Journey
The Kimchi Field Museum first opened in 1986. It was located in Pil-dong, Jung District in Seoul. It was the very first museum in Korea dedicated to kimchi.
Management and Moves
Starting in 1987, a company called Pulmuone Inc. began to manage the museum. In 1988, the museum moved to the COEX (Convention and Exhibition Center). This move happened because of the 1988 Summer Olympics held in Seoul that year.
Global Recognition
In 2015, something exciting happened. The museum was chosen by CNN as one of the top 11 food museums in the world! This showed how special and important the museum is.
Later in 2015, on April 21, the museum moved again. It left its COEX location and reopened in its current home in Insa-dong.
