My Mum Tracy Beaker is a fun TV show for kids from the UK. It first aired on CBBC and BBC iPlayer on February 12, 2021. This series continues the story of Tracy Beaker, a character many people know and love. It follows on from earlier shows like The Story of Tracy Beaker, Tracy Beaker Returns, and The Dumping Ground.
In My Mum Tracy Beaker, Dani Harmer returns to play Tracy Beaker. Other original cast members like Lisa Coleman, Ruth Gemmell, and Montanna Thompson also appear. New actors Emma Davies and Jordan Duvigneau join the cast too.

Jess has to give a presentation at school. She chooses to talk about her mum, Tracy, as the person she looks up to most. A classmate named Tyrone makes fun of her presentation. This causes an argument, and their teacher, Mary, calls Tracy. Tracy gets upset with Miss Oliver. The teacher suggests Tracy tries kickboxing to help with her anger. At kickboxing, Tracy meets Sean Godfrey. He is an old footballer she knew when she was younger. Jess does not like Sean. She is even more unhappy when he asks them to move in with him. Later, Sean asks Tracy to marry him, but she doesn't give him an answer.

Sean tells Jess that she can decide if he and Tracy get married. Jess eventually agrees that they can. Tracy comes home and finds Justine Littlewood having a business meeting with Sean. Tracy and Justine, who used to be rivals, talk about their past and put their differences aside. Tracy invites her birth mum, Carly, to her engagement party. Carly arrives late and has a disagreement with Tracy's adoptive mum, Cam. Jess finds Sean's second phone. She sees messages from another woman. Jess follows Sean to a restaurant and sees him kissing Justine.

Jess shows Tracy Sean's phone. Tracy then moves out and leaves her engagement ring at his house. Tracy goes back to working as a waitress. However, she loses her job when she gets into a fight with Justine at the restaurant. Sean asks Tracy to forgive him, but she says they are finished. Carly asks Tracy why she won't get back with Sean. Tracy explains that she needs to put Jess first to be a good mum. She then forgives Carly for her past mistakes as a mother. Cam and Mary get married. Peter Ingham, who used to be called Weedy Peter, attends the wedding as a teacher friend of Mary's. He talks with Tracy and tells her he is now a headteacher. They both laugh about their memories from the past.

The show was very popular when it first came out. On February 15, 2021, CBBC announced that My Mum Tracy Beaker was their most successful new show. It had 2.1 million streams on BBC iPlayer in just its first three days. The first episode on February 12 also had a large audience. It attracted about 492,000 viewers aged four and older on the CBBC channel itself. After seven days, the total number of viewers for the first episode rose to 883,000.
