Early Life and Education
Myron Lizer was born in Ganado, Arizona. Before college, he worked in different retail jobs. He earned a degree in business from Fort Lewis College. After college, he worked as an accountant. Soon after, he started his own businesses.
Career and Public Service
Myron Lizer owns an Ace Hardware store. It is located in Window Rock, Arizona. He also served as the president of the school board. This was for the Rehoboth Christian School in Rehoboth, New Mexico. He held this role from 2016 to 2023. Lizer has also written articles for The Santa Fe New Mexican.
Becoming Vice President
Lizer is a member of the Republican Party. In the 2018 tribal election, he teamed up with Jonathan Nez. Nez was a Democrat. They won the election with 66% of the votes. Lizer served as Vice President of the Navajo Nation from January 2019 to January 2023.
Supporting Tribal Communities
Lizer has been a supporter of Donald Trump. He spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention. There, he talked about Trump's work for tribal communities. He highlighted efforts to help with Missing and Murdered Indigenous People. He also spoke about support during the COVID-19 pandemic. In October 2020, he helped launch the Native Americans for Trump group.
Later Political Activities
In March 2022, Lizer announced he would run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. This was for Arizona's 2nd congressional district. However, he did not gather enough signatures to be on the ballot.
Lizer supported Donald Trump again in the 2024 election. He joined U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin on the campaign trail. Lizer spoke to Native voters at a rally in New Mexico. He praised Trump's leadership. He said it would lead Indian Country into the "next frontier." After the 2024 election, many Native American-majority counties voted Republican. Lizer said this was "a long time coming." He felt that global conflicts made people want strong leadership.

Myron Lizer has a mixed heritage. He is half Navajo through his father's family. He is also half Comanche through his mother's family. His clans are Naałání (Comanche People Clan) and Tó’áhání (Near The Water Clan). His maternal grandfather's clan is Naałání. His paternal grandfather's clan is Tł’ááshchí’í (Red Cheek People).
