NEOMA Business School is a well-known business and management school in France. It was created in 2013. NEOMA was formed when two older schools, Reims Management School (started in 1928) and Rouen Business School (started in 1871), joined together.

NEOMA Business School offers many different study programs. These include bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and even PhDs. Students can learn about all areas of business management. The school is often ranked among the top business schools in Europe and worldwide.

NEOMA is part of a special group of French schools called the Conférence des Grandes écoles. It is also one of the few business schools globally to have "Triple Accreditation." This means it meets high standards from three big international groups: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA.

The school has about 9,000 students. About 25% of these students come from other countries. They study at NEOMA's three campuses in Reims, Rouen, and Paris. The school also has a large network of over 72,000 graduates.

NEOMA's Story: How It Began

NEOMA Business School was formed by two older schools. Let's look at their history.

Rouen Business School: A Long History

The Advanced Business School of Rouen started in 1873. It was located in the Normandy region of France. Later, it changed its name to Rouen Business School.

Reims Management School: Starting in Champagne

The Advanced Business School of Reims began in 1928. It was in the Champagne region. This school also changed its name to Reims Management School later on.

The Two Schools Become One

In 2013, these two schools decided to merge. They became NEOMA Business School. This merger was supported by the local Chambers of Commerce in Reims and Rouen.

What Are Grande Écoles?

NEOMA Business School is known as a grande école. In France, these are special higher education schools. They are different from regular public universities.

Elite Schools in France

Grandes écoles are very selective. Students must pass tough exams to get in. Many graduates from these schools go on to hold important jobs in France. You can think of them like Ivy League schools in the US or Oxbridge in the UK.

Degrees You Can Earn

The degrees from grandes écoles are recognized by the French government. They follow a system that helps students study abroad.

  • The first level is the Licence or Bachelor's degrees. This usually takes three years.
  • The next level is the Master's. This takes two more years after a Bachelor's.
  • The highest level is the Doctorat (PhD).

Students earn credits for each course they take. These credits can often be used at other schools.

What You Can Study at NEOMA

NEOMA offers many different programs. These range from first-year college degrees to advanced studies for professionals.

  • Master in Management: This is a main program that takes 2 or 3 years.
  • Specialized Programs: Like TEMA (focused on new ideas and digital skills) and ECAL (bachelor's degrees).
  • International Programs: Such as CESEM and Global BBA, which focus on global business.
  • Advanced Programs: These are like Advanced Masters or Masters of Science. They can be full-time or part-time.
  • Executive Education: Programs for people who are already working, like the Global Executive MBA.
  • Doctoral School: For students who want to earn a DBA or PhD in Management.

NEOMA uses new ways of teaching. This includes role-playing and learning from other students. They even use virtual reality to help students learn management skills!

NEOMA Around the World

NEOMA helps students learn skills for a global world. They teach how to work in different cultures.

Strong Connections with China

NEOMA Business School has special ties with China. In 2014, it opened the first Confucius Institute for Business in France. This was the seventh one in the world. Other similar institutes are at famous schools like the London School of Economics.

NEOMA welcomes many Chinese students each year. It also works with several Chinese universities. The Confucius Institute helps French companies do business in China. A former French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, helped open this institute. NEOMA also started a special business doctorate program in Shanghai.

NEOMA is active in research and helping students start their own businesses.
