Ignacio 'Nacho' Rodríguez Ortiz (born on November 6, 1982, in Laredo, Cantabria) is a Spanish former professional footballer. He played as a forward, which means his main job was to score goals for his team. Nacho had a long career, playing for many different clubs in Spain and even in other countries.

Early Career and Youth Teams
Nacho Rodríguez started his football journey in the youth system of Oviedo. This is where young players learn the skills they need to become professionals. After his time in youth football, he began playing for senior teams.
Starting in Spain
Nacho's first professional club was Racing B, which is the reserve team for Racing de Santander. He played there from 2000 to 2003, scoring 26 goals in 70 games. This was a great start for a young forward!
He also played a few games for the main Racing Santander team in 2002-2003. During this time, he was also loaned to Cultural Leonesa to get more playing experience.
Moving Around Spanish Clubs
Over the next few years, Nacho played for several different clubs in Spain. These included Cartagena (2003), Logroñés (2004), and Alavés B (2004-2005). He then returned to Oviedo for a season (2005-2006).
He continued to play for various Spanish teams like Mazarrón (2006), Racing B again (2007), and Lanzarote (2007-2008). Each move helped him gain more experience and play in different leagues.
Playing Abroad
Nacho decided to try playing football outside of Spain. This is a big step for any player!
Success in Austria
From 2008 to 2013, Nacho played for Ried in Austria. This was one of the longest periods he spent with a single club. He played 148 games and scored 28 goals for Ried, showing his skills as a forward.
Short Stint in Bolivia
In 2014, Nacho had a brief experience playing for Universitario de Sucre in Bolivia. Playing in different countries helps footballers learn new styles of play and experience different cultures.
Later Career in Spain
After his time abroad, Nacho returned to Spain to continue his career.
Final Club Years
He played for several more Spanish clubs, including Noja (2013-2014), Alcoyano (2014), Sestao (2015), Guijuelo (2015-2016), and Mensajero (2016-2017).
One of his last clubs was Gimnástica, where he played from 2017 to 2020. He finished his professional career with Colindres in 2020-2021.
International Youth Football
Before becoming a professional, Nacho also represented Spain at the youth level.
