He has sung songs by famous artists like Tina Arena and Chris De Burgh.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Nader Guirat was born in Sousse, a city in Tunisia, on May 16, 1986. His parents are Nejib Guirat and Raoudha Boukthir. He is the oldest of three children, with a sister named Nahed and a brother named Zied.

Nader first sang in public when he was only five years old. It was at his nursery school, and he performed songs by the Egyptian singer Abdul Halim Hafiz. Nader once told a magazine that he knew he wanted to be a singer when he was watching TV with his dad. He said, "One Day You Will See Me Out There!"

When Nader was 14, he learned to play the guitar. This helped him discover that he really loved acoustic and pop rock music. Even though he also enjoyed sports like martial arts, soccer, and tennis, music was his true passion. At 15, he started his first band called 'Hypnos'. With his band, he recorded his first demo and even produced an album with songs in English and French.

When he returned home to Tunisia, the former Minister of Culture welcomed him at the airport. Winning Star Academy was a huge step that started Nader's music career.

"L'Ange Perdu" (2009)

In 2009, Nader released his very first song, called "L'Ange Perdu." This means "The Lost Angel" in French. It was a new version of an Arabic song by Marwan Khoury, but Nader sang it in French. Nader helped write the lyrics, which tell a story from his own childhood. He paid for the project himself and worked with a music arranger named Michel Fadel. The song's video was even filmed with 'The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine'. "L'Ange Perdu" was a big hit and won the "Best Song of the Year" award from a Tunisian radio station called Jawhara FM.

In 2011, Nader was invited to perform at the first international music festival in Ukraine, called Crimea Music Fest. He was the only participant from the Arab World at this big event.

At the festival, contestants had to perform two songs. One was an international hit song, and the other was a traditional song from their home country. Nader sang "Aicha" by Algerian singer Cheb Khaled for the international hit. For the traditional song, he performed the Tunisian folk song "Sidi Mansour."

"Helma-Rêve" (2011)

Two years after his first song, Nader released a duet called "Helma-Rêve," which means "Dream." He sang this song in both French and Arabic with another Tunisian singer, Mohammed Dahleb. The song was written by Zaher Zorgati, and Kais Melliti arranged the music.

Nader explained in an interview that the song encourages all Tunisian people to come together. He wanted them to set aside their political and religious differences for the future of their country. The song mixes rock music with an oriental feel, using instruments like the Middle Eastern flute (Ney) and the Oriental drum (Darabuka).

Nader composed "The Jasmine's Calling," and the lyrics were written by Ramona from Canada. Elyes Bouchoucha, a Tunisian, arranged the music. The song was recorded and mixed in Tunisia and mastered in Paris, France. While promoting the song, Nader shared his plans to move to Paris, France. He felt the music scene there would be more welcoming to his musical style and ambitions. He also planned to work on more songs for his first album there.
