Nako Yabuki (born June 18, 2001) is a Japanese actress. She used to be a singer. She was part of the Japanese idol group HKT48. She was also in the South Korean-Japanese girl group Iz*One. She joined Iz*One after finishing sixth in the TV show Produce 48. As an actress, she is famous for playing young Minami Asakura in the movie Touch (2005).
Nako joined HKT48 in November 2013. She was also a member of AKB48 from 2015 to 2017. Since 2016, she has been a model for the Japanese magazine Love Berry.

Nako's Career Journey
Nako Yabuki started her acting career in 2005. Her first movie role was playing a young character named Minami Asakura in Touch. This was a coming-of-age film.
She also appeared in commercials for companies like JCB. In 2009, she was in TV movies such as Detective Samonji Susumu. She also appeared in the short film On the Shinhori River in 2012. In 2013, she was in the superhero movie Gatchaman.
Nako was a big fan of another idol, Rino Sashihara. She met Sashihara at an AKB48 event. Sashihara told her to try out for the group. Nako decided to audition for HKT48 instead. This was because Sashihara had moved to HKT48. In 2013, Nako passed the auditions and joined HKT48.
In 2018, Nako joined a TV show called Produce 48. This show was about forming a new girl group. She did very well and finished in 6th place. This meant she became a member of the Korean-Japanese idol group Iz*One. Nako and the other two Japanese members of Iz*One took a break from their Japanese groups. They stayed with Iz*One until their contracts ended in April 2021.
On April 29, 2021, Nako's time with Iz*One officially ended. She and the other Japanese members went back to Japan. On May 15, 2021, Nako started performing with HKT48 again.
On October 16, 2022, Nako announced she would leave HKT48. This happened during the group's 11th-anniversary concert. Her final concert with the group was on April 1, 2023. After leaving HKT48, she decided to focus on acting.
Her contract with her old agency, Vernalossom, ended on January 28, 2023. On June 18, it was announced that Nako had joined a new agency called Twin Planet.
