Namrata Shrestha is a famous actress and model from Nepal. She started her acting journey in 2008 with the movie Sano Sansar. Since then, she has acted in many popular Nepali films.

Her Acting Journey
In 2008, Namrata starred in the romantic comedy Sano Sansar. She played a character named Ritu. Even though she was new to acting, she was chosen for this important role.
After that, she played Sikha in the 2009 romantic comedy Mero Euta Saathi Chha.
In 2010, Namrata also started acting in plays. Her first theater show was called Jalpari.
Since then, Namrata has been in many big movies. These include Chhadke, where she acted alongside famous actors like Saugat Malla and Dayahang Rai. She also played a character who couldn't speak in the movie Maun.
In 2015, Namrata starred in the film Soul Sister. In this movie, she played two different characters. This film was also special because she sang a song called 'Bistarai Bistarai' for it.
The next year, in 2016, Namrata acted in the movie Classic with Aryan Sigdel. Her acting in Classic won her several awards. She received the Dcine Award for Best Actress and the National Film Award for Best Actress.
Later, Namrata starred in the movie Prasad. People really loved her performance in this film. She won the Dcine Award for Best Actress again for her role as Narayani.
In 2019, Namrata was in the action movie Xira. For this film, she did all her own stunts and even shaved her hair!
