Nando Yosu's Playing Career
Nando Yosu was born in Mungia, a town in the Basque Country, Spain. He played professional football for about ten years. He was a midfielder, which is a player who helps both in defense and attack.
He played in 122 matches in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league. During his playing career, he was part of several well-known teams. These included Racing de Santander, Valencia CF, Athletic Bilbao, and Pontevedra CF.
Nando Yosu stopped playing football in 1972 when he was only 31 years old. Before he retired, he also played for CF Calvo Sotelo in the Segunda División (second division) and Gimnástica de Torrelavega in the Tercera División (third division).
One of his notable moments as a player was when he scored two goals for Valencia against FC Barcelona. This happened in the 1962 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup final. Valencia won that match 6–2 at home.
