Naomi van As is a famous Dutch field hockey player. She was born on July 26, 1983. Naomi played as a forward or midfielder for the Dutch club MHC Laren. She is known for her amazing skills and many wins with the Dutch national team.

Naomi's Hockey Journey
Starting Her Career
Naomi van As began playing for the Netherlands national team on June 20, 2003. Her first game was against South Africa. She quickly became an important player for the team.
Olympic Gold Medals
Naomi achieved great success at the Olympic Games.
- In 2008, she won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Her team beat China 2–0 in the final, and Naomi scored the first goal!
- She won another gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. This made her a two-time Olympic champion.
- At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, her team reached the final. They played against Great Britain but lost in a penalty shootout, earning a silver medal. This was her last international game.

Naomi van As has been in a relationship with longtrack skater Sven Kramer since 2007. They have two children together. Their daughter was born in 2018, and their son was born in 2022.
