Nasra Agile is a talented engineer and a smart business owner. She is from Somalia and also a Canadian citizen. Nasra is known for her work as a civil engineer and for starting her own businesses. She has also helped her community a lot and received a special award called The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Canada.
Early Life and Education
Nasra Agile was born in Somalia. Later, she and her family moved to Canada. As a teenager, Nasra was very active in her community. She helped create many programs for young people.

After high school, Nasra went to Ryerson University in Toronto. She studied civil engineering, which is about designing and building things like roads and bridges. Career Journey
Nasra Agile started her engineering career working for the City of Toronto government. She was a road inspector, making sure roads were built correctly and safely. After two years, she moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dubai was growing very fast with many new buildings.
In 2007, Nasra joined Cansult, a Canadian engineering company in Dubai. This company was one of the biggest in the Middle East. Later, she advised Nakheel Properties, a huge company that builds many homes and buildings in the UAE. She also worked as a Senior Traffic Engineer for the Dubai Municipality's Roads Authority. This job involved making sure traffic flowed smoothly and safely.
In 2012, Nasra decided to go back to Somalia. She wanted to help her home country rebuild after a difficult time. She opened Somalia's very first dollar store. This store sells many different items at low prices, which was a new idea for the country.
Awards and Recognition
Nasra Agile has received several awards for her hard work and achievements.
- The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Canada: This special award was given to her by the Governor General of Canada. It recognized her great work in helping her community.
- Academic Awards: While she was a student, Nasra also earned awards for her excellent grades. One of these was the Golden Key International Honour Society Award.
