About 7 miles west of Hondo, you'll find the D'Hanis Historic District. This area also tells the story of early settlers, particularly those from Alsace, similar to Castroville. The district helps preserve the unique heritage of this community. It was listed on the National Register on June 24, 1976.

Charles de Montel House

The Charles de Montel House is located northwest of Castroville. This house is a great example of the architecture from the mid-1800s. Charles de Montel was an important person in the early days of Castroville. The house was added to the National Register on November 25, 1980.

Devine Opera House

In the city of Devine, you can find the Devine Opera House at 206 Commercial Drive. This building was once a lively place for performances and community events. Landmark Inn Complex

The Landmark Inn Complex is located on Florella and Florence Streets in Castroville. This complex is a very important historic site. It was added to the National Register on January 7, 1972.

Medina Dam
