The National Videogame Museum is a super fun place in Sheffield, England. It's where you can explore and play all sorts of video games, from old classics to brand-new ones!
How the Museum Started
The story of the museum began in 2015. It first opened in Nottingham as the National Videogame Arcade (NVA). It was the world's first special place just for video games!
Then, in 2018, the NVA moved to Sheffield and found a new home in a building called Castle House. That's when it got its new name: the National Videogame Museum.
In November 2023, the museum celebrated its fifth birthday. It was their busiest year ever, with more than 50,000 people visiting the museum in Sheffield!
