Navalvillar de Ibor (also known as Extremaduran: Navavillal d'Ibol) is a small town in Spain. It is located in the province of Cáceres. This province is part of the autonomous community of Extremadura. The town covers an area of about 54.5 square kilometers. In 2011, around 484 people lived there.

Navalvillar de Ibor is about 120 kilometers from Cáceres. Cáceres is the capital city of the province. The town is found in the valley of the Ibor River. It is the first town the river passes through after it starts in the Sierra de Villuercas mountains. This area is part of the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara region.
Navalvillar de Ibor shares its borders with other towns. To the north is Castañar de Ibor. To the south is Guadalupe. Navatrasierra is to the east, and Navezuelas is to the west.
Nature and Wildlife
The area around Navalvillar de Ibor is full of nature. You will find many chestnut forests here. There are also large areas with bushes and grasslands. These grasslands have cork oaks and holm oaks. Some parts have new plantings of conifer trees, olive trees, and oaks.
A special tree called the "Loro" tree also grows here. This type of tree is very rare in Spain.

A Look at History
This area was settled by the ancient Romans a long time ago. We know this because many old Roman items have been found here. After the area was taken back by Christian kingdoms, it became part of the Talavera Lands for many centuries.
When the old system of government ended, Navalvillar de Ibor became its own town. This happened in the region of Extremadura. Since 1834, it has been part of the Navalmoral de la Mata legal district. In 1842, a count of homes showed 40 houses and 219 people living there.
