Ndidi Onukwulu (born 1988) is a talented Canadian singer and songwriter. She was born in British Columbia. While her music is often called jazz and blues, Ndidi mixes many different styles. These include rock, country, and gospel music. She has traveled and performed a lot across Canada and Europe.

Ndidi's Musical Journey
Early Life and Discovering Music
Ndidi Onukwulu was born in 1988. When she was younger, she wasn't very interested in music. She didn't think about becoming a singer until her friends heard her sing. This happened when she was a young adult.
Moving to New York and Toronto
Ndidi moved to New York City. There, she started singing at open-mic nights. These are events where anyone can perform. In New York, she met many hip-hop and blues musicians. They helped shape her unique musical style.
Later, Ndidi moved to Toronto, Canada. She first joined a rock band there. After that, she became part of an electronic music group called Stop Die Resuscitate. Eventually, Ndidi returned to a blues-focused style. She began performing at famous places like Massey Hall in Toronto.
First Album and Tours
In January 2006, when Ndidi was 18, she released her first album. It was called No, I Never. After the album came out, she went on a tour. This tour created a lot of excitement in the Canadian blues music world.
Creating New Music
In 2007, Ndidi spent time writing new songs. She found inspiration from her life experiences. She used these ideas to create the diverse music for her second album, The Contradictor. This album showed off the many different styles she is now known for.
The album's name, The Contradictor, came from how the upbeat music mixed with more serious topics. It also reflected parts of Ndidi's own personality. The Contradictor was released on June 17, 2008. Steve Dawson produced it under the indie record label Jericho Beach Music.
European Success
After this, Ndidi traveled to Europe. She signed a deal with Universal Jazz and Classics France. She then wrote and recorded two more albums. These were The Escape (released in 2011) and Dark Swing (released in 2014).
