Joining Krimpenerwaard

A Past Challenge in Lekkerkerk
One of the towns in Nederlek, Lekkerkerk, faced a big challenge in 1980. An environmental issue was discovered under a neighborhood. This problem was successfully cleaned up. The cleanup cost a lot of money, about 188 million Dutch guilders. This was around 90 million US dollars at the time.
