Sometimes, after big storms or changes in the sand on the beach, the remains of an ancient forest appear. These are old tree stumps that were once part of a forest thousands of years ago. They were buried by sand and mud, which helped preserve them. When the sand washes away, these "ghosts" of trees become visible on the beach. It's a really cool sight!
