History of New Burlington

New Burlington was first started a long time ago in 1816. A person named John Pegg helped to plan and lay out the community.

Geography and Location

New Burlington is located about 12 miles (19 km) north of downtown Cincinnati. The main road that goes through the area is U.S. Route 127, also known as Hamilton Avenue. This road travels north towards Hamilton and south through Mount Healthy into downtown Cincinnati.

New Burlington is surrounded by other communities. To the north, you'll find Forest Park. To the east is Greenhills. Mount Healthy is to the south. To the southwest, there is Northbrook, and to the west is Mount Healthy Heights. The total area of New Burlington is about 7.9 square kilometers (3.0 square miles), and it is all land.

People of New Burlington

As of the 2020 census, there were 5,049 people living in New Burlington. This means there were about 1,480 people for every square mile (571 people per square kilometer). There were 2,028 homes in the area.

The people living in New Burlington come from many different backgrounds. About 42.8% of the people were White, and 45.5% were Black or African American. There were also smaller groups of Native American, Asian, and Pacific Islander people. About 6.0% of the people were from two or more races. Also, 4.8% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.
