A Look Back in Time
Mount Healthy started way back in 1817. It was first called Mount Pleasant.
In 1850, something important happened. A serious sickness called cholera spread around. Many people in Mount Pleasant stayed healthy, even when others nearby got very sick. Because of this, the village changed its name to "Mount Healthy" to celebrate their good health!
Later, in 1951, Mount Healthy officially became a city.
