History of New Fairview
The city of New Fairview has an interesting past. It started as a small community known as Illinois Community. The main road that goes through the city, Texas Farm to Market Road 407, is still called Illinois Lane today. This name helps us remember the community's original name.
The city was first called Fairview. However, in 1999, its name was changed to New Fairview. This change happened because there were several other cities in Texas also named Fairview. The new name helps people tell them apart.
