A Glimpse into Its Past
Even though New Grove is gone now, it had a short but interesting history.
- A post office was opened in New Grove in 1905. This was a very important place for people to send and receive letters and packages.
- The post office served the community for ten years, closing its doors in 1915.
- New Grove also had its own school, called the New Grove Schoolhouse. This is where the children of the town would have gone to learn. Like the town itself, the school is no longer in operation.
