New Holland is a small village located in Logan County, Illinois, in the United States. In 2020, about 275 people lived there. This was a slight increase from 269 people in 2010.
The Diffendefer family was the first to settle in this area. They played a big part in how the village started and grew. A post office was set up in New Holland way back in 1802.

Education in New Holland
Students in New Holland attend schools operated by the New Holland-Middletown Elementary School District 88. This district provides education for elementary and middle school students.
After middle school, students go to Lincoln Community High School. This high school serves students from New Holland and nearby areas.
The very first school in the community was started in 1787. It was run by a German Lutheran church and taught both English and German.
