Moving Up and Down (Promotion and Relegation)
In football leagues, teams can move between divisions. This is called promotion and relegation.
The team that wins the Premier 'X' Division can move up. They get promoted to the Gwent County League. Sometimes, if the champions don't meet certain rules, the second-place team can be promoted instead.
Teams also move between Division One and Division Two. The two teams at the bottom of Division One move down to Division Two. The two teams at the top of Division Two move up to Division One.
Moving between Division One and the Premier divisions is decided by the league's committee. Clubs that want to join the Premier Division have a meeting with this committee.
