This show is 30 minutes long and helps young people, usually aged 7 to 12, understand what's happening in the world. It's similar to Newsround, another popular children's news program from the BBC. The show is currently presented by Aisling Moloney and Mícheál Ó Scannáil.

The History of news2day
news2day first started in 2003. Over the years, many talented people have presented the show, helping to bring the news to young viewers.
Meet the Presenters
The first presenters were Ailbhe Conneely (from 2003 to 2004) and Cathal Murray (in 2003). After their time on news2day, Ailbhe became a journalist with RTÉ News, and Cathal now hosts a late-night show on RTÉ Radio 1.
Later, Paul O'Flynn (from 2004 to 2005) and Sabrina Phelan (from 2004 to 2006) took over. Paul now works as a reporter for RTÉ Sport.
Other presenters included Paddy McKenna (from 2005 to 2007), Helen Joyce (from 2006 to 2008), and Stephen Carroll (from 2007 to 2008). Helen Joyce is now a journalist with the BBC.
More recently, presenters like Aisling Riordan (from 2008 to 2010), Stephen O'Shea (from 2008 to 2010), Yvonne Redmond (from 2010 to 2011), and Aidan Kelly (from 2010 to 2012) have all been part of the news2day team.
Nick Sheridan presented from 2014 to 2016 and later worked in the BBC Scotland newsroom. A very special moment happened in 2017 when Zainab Boladale joined the newsroom. She became the first person of African descent to be a news anchor on RTÉ television! She left in 2019 to join another Irish TV program called Nationwide.
Gill Stedman also presented from 2015 to 2017 and is now a business journalist at RTÉ.
