Ngombal facts for kids
The Ngombal people are an Aboriginal Australian group. They are also known as the Ngumbarl. They traditionally lived in Western Australia.
The Ngombal Language
Not much is known about the Ngombal language. Experts believe it was part of the Nyulnyulan languages family. Some think it belonged to the western branch of this family.
Traditional Lands
The Ngombal people lived on traditional lands covering about 3,100 square kilometers (1,200 square miles). They were a coastal people. Their land stretched about 48 kilometers (30 miles) inland from the coast.
Their neighbors were other Aboriginal groups:
- The Djaberadjabera people lived to their north.
- The Nimanburu people lived to their east.
- The Yawuru people lived to their southeast.
- The Djugun people lived to their south.
