Nick's Early Life and School
Nick Kosir grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He went to the University of Akron and earned a degree in communication. Later, he studied broadcast meteorology at Mississippi State University. This helped him learn how to report the weather on TV.
Nick's Career Journey
Nick started his career as a reporter and part-time weather forecaster at WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio. He later became the main weather director there.
In October 2008, Nick became a morning meteorologist at KBTV-TV in Beaumont, Texas. People there started calling him "The Rapping Weatherman" because of his unique style.
He then worked for three years at KMVT in Twin Falls, Idaho. After that, Nick spent seven years at WJZY Fox 46. At Fox 46, employees were encouraged to share things on social media every day. Nick began making funny videos with his friend Hans. He also started imitating famous football player Cam Newton.
