Nick Perry's Playing Days
Nick Perry played football as a safety for five years. He played for the University of Alabama team. His coach there was Nick Saban. While playing for Alabama, he helped his team win two big championships. These were the BCS National Championships in 2011 and 2012.
After college, Nick Perry was not chosen in the NFL Draft in 2015. But he still got a chance to play! He signed with the Ravens as a free agent. He was part of their practice squad in 2015. In 2016, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles. However, he was released from the team after their training camp.
Coaching Career
Coaching at Alabama
Nick Perry started his coaching journey at his old college, the University of Alabama. In 2017, he became a graduate assistant coach. He helped the team for two years in this role. In 2019, he got a new title as a defensive analyst for the team.
Coaching for the Atlanta Falcons
In 2021, Nick Perry moved up to coach in the NFL. He joined the Atlanta Falcons as an assistant defensive backs coach. This means he helped coach the players who play in the defensive back positions. In 2023, he changed roles. He became the team's assistant wide receivers coach. In this role, he helped coach the players who catch the football.
