Nickelodeon (also known as Nick) is a fun TV channel in South Korea. It's made just for kids and teens, showing lots of cartoons and shows they love. This channel is the South Korean version of the famous American Nickelodeon channel.

The channel is currently owned by a company called SBS ViacomCBS. This company is a joint venture, which means it's a partnership between two other companies: SBS Medianet and ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA. Nickelodeon South Korea first started as part of Nickelodeon Asia in 2003. Then, it officially launched as Nickelodeon Korea on August 1, 2005.

What's on Nickelodeon South Korea?

Nickelodeon South Korea has a different lineup of shows compared to the American version. It mostly focuses on animated series.

Animated Shows

The channel shows many popular cartoons. These are often acquired animated series, meaning they get them from other creators or countries.

No Live-Action or Preschool Shows

Unlike some other Nickelodeon channels, Nickelodeon South Korea does not currently show live-action series (shows with real actors). It also doesn't have shows specifically for very young children (preschoolers). Instead, they sometimes show Korean variety shows, which are popular entertainment programs in South Korea.
