Nickesse Trimaine Toney (born March 13, 1990 – died September 2, 2014), known as Nicky Da B, was an American rapper. He was famous for his unique style of bounce music, a lively type of hip hop from New Orleans. Nicky Da B released an album called Please Don't Forget Da B in 2012. His song Express Yourself with artist Diplo became a huge hit that year. It was even featured in a Doritos commercial during the Super Bowl XLVII, a very popular American football game.

Nicky Da B was born in 1990 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in a part of the city called Pigeon Town, located in the 17th ward. His mother, Nicole Toney, and grandmother, Aline Toney, raised him. Nicky graduated from West Jefferson High School in 2008. He also attended Delgado Community College.

Nicky started writing rap lyrics when he was just six years old. He admired a group called the Hot Boys and used the name "Lil Fiya" back then. By age 14, he began rapping himself. Nicky had strong connections with other bounce artists like Katey Red and Big Freedia. They all worked together to help bounce music become more well-known.

Rise to Fame and Impact

In 2011, Nicky Da B released a local hit song called "Drop It Hot Potato Style." After this, he started touring and performing his music.
