During the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship, Nicole had a memorable moment. In a crucial match against Panama, the game went to a penalty shootout. Just like a famous male goalkeeper named Tim Krul did in the 2014 Men's World Cup, Nicole was brought into the game right before the shootout began. She saved two of the four penalties she faced. Thanks to her saves, Jamaica won the shootout 4–2. This victory secured their spot in the World Cup.
