Nicolette, whose full name is Nicolette Love Suwoton, is a talented singer and songwriter from Scotland. She was born in Glasgow in 1964. Although she was born in Scotland, she has lived in many different places. These include London, Nigeria, Switzerland, France, and Belgium. Her music is mostly electronic. However, it also has sounds from jazz, classical music, blues, folk, and African music.
Nicolette's Music Journey
Nicolette has released several of her own albums. She also created a special DJ mix album for a series called DJ-Kicks. She is well-known for singing on two songs, "Three" and "Sly," from Massive Attack's album Protection in 1994.
She has worked with many other artists in electronic music. Some of these include Plaid, Alec Empire, and 4hero. In 1996, she signed with a record company called Talkin' Loud.
Later, in 1999, Nicolette decided to start her own record company. She named it Early Records. She wanted Early Records to release "innovative pop music." Her album, Life Loves Us, came out through her own label in 2005. She also released a single and an EP from this album the next year.
In 2007, her song "No Government" was re-released with new mixes by other DJs. The next year, in 2008, Nicolette sang and helped write a song called "Desire" for John Tejada's album Where. She also released a song called "Love" with DJ Cam in 2010. More recently, she worked with Samuel Yirga on his album. She also acted in Solveig Anspach's film "Queen of Montreuil". Her latest album, "The Infinitive," is expected to be released in 2025.
