Ningning (which means "Sparkle") is a fun Philippine TV show from 2015. It's a comedy-drama series directed by Jeffrey Jeturian and stars Jana Agoncillo. The show first aired on ABS-CBN in the afternoons and was also shown around the world on The Filipino Channel. It ran from July 27, 2015, to January 15, 2016.
About the Story
The show Ningning lets us see life through the eyes of a young girl named Ningning. She grew up on a quiet island called Isla Baybay. Her family lived a simple life there.
Ningning lived with her dad, Dondon, her mom, Lovely, and her grandma, Mamay. Dondon was a fisherman. He didn't earn much, but his family's love made him feel very rich. Every day was happy for Ningning because of their strong family bond.
One day, a big typhoon hit the island. It destroyed Dondon's fishing boat. This meant the family had to move to the city. They hoped to find a better life there.
Life in the city brought many new challenges for Ningning and her family. But they showed everyone that with hope, hard work, and the love of family and friends, you can achieve anything. Through Ningning's innocent eyes, the world is full of good relationships, second chances, forgiveness, and love.
