Writing Cookbooks
Nita Mehta has written over 400 cookbooks! More than 6 million copies of her books have been sold all over the world. That's a lot of recipes shared!
In 1999, she won a special award called the Best Asian Cookbook Award. She received it for her book Flavours of Indian Cooking at a big event in Paris called the World Cookbook Fair.
Some of her other popular books include Indian Cooking With Olive Oil, Vegetarian Chinese, and 101 Recipes for Children. She even wrote books for specific diets, like Zero Oil Cooking and Diabetes Delicacies.
Starting a Business
Nita Mehta also runs her own cooking school called the Nita Mehta Culinary Academy. She started it in New Delhi in 2001. This academy teaches people how to cook many different types of food.
The academy offers courses on fast food, traditional Indian meals, and even healthy snacks. You can learn to make salads, desserts, chocolates, and special "healthy heart" recipes there.
