Kurkure is a popular crunchy snack. It's like a puffed corn snack, but it's also made with rice and lentils. PepsiCo, a big food company, owns Kurkure through its Frito-Lay brand. Kurkure first came out in India in 1999. Later, in 2008, it was launched in Pakistan. You can also find Kurkure in some other countries, like Canada and the United Kingdom. The name "Kurkure" means "crunchy" in Hindi and Urdu languages.

Kurkure snacks are made in different places. In India, they are produced in areas like Sangrur, Pune, and Howrah. In Pakistan, they are made in Gulberg, Lahore.

What Kurkure Is Made Of

Kurkure snacks are made from several ingredients. These include rice flour, corn flour, and gram flour (which comes from lentils). They also contain edible vegetable oil, like palm oil.

Spices, salt, and sugar are added for flavor. You might also find ingredients like tartaric acid, which gives a sour taste. Some flavors also contain milk solids. This means that Kurkure is not completely vegan. It also has natural and artificial flavors to make it taste good.

Kurkure also became popular in Tamil-speaking areas in 2008. Actress Simran was the face of the brand there. In 2012, more actors joined in, including Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kapoor, Boman Irani, Ramya Krishnan, and Farida Jalal. Launching in Pakistan and Other Countries

Kurkure was launched in Pakistan in 2008. Actresses like Ayesha Omer, Hania Amir, and Iqra Aziz have been featured in TV commercials for Kurkure in Pakistan.

In November 2006, Frito-Lay announced that Kurkure would be sold in American markets starting in 2007. This decision was made because people in the region were showing more interest in Indian spices. Kurkure was then introduced in other countries where many people from India live, such as the UK. By 2010, Kurkure was available in Eastern Canada, and by 2013, it was also available in Western Canada.
