Kurkure also became popular in Tamil-speaking areas in 2008. Actress Simran was its brand ambassador there. More stars joined in 2012, including Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kapoor, Boman Irani, Ramya Krishnan, and Farida Jalal. More recently, in 2019, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Taapsee Pannu appeared in commercials. In 2021 and 2022, Akshay Kumar was seen in ads with Kritika Kamra and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Kurkure was launched in Pakistan in 2007. Actresses like Ayesha Omer, Hania Amir, and Iqra Aziz have been featured in its TV ads there.

In 2006, Frito-Lay decided to bring Kurkure to American markets because people were becoming more interested in Indian spices. By 2010, Kurkure was available in Eastern Canada, and by 2013, it was also available in Western Canada.
