Noam Murro (born August 16, 1961) is a talented film director and producer from Israel. He is famous for directing movies like Smart People and 300: Rise of an Empire. He also directed the exciting BBC miniseries Watership Down.

Early Life and Dreams
Noam Murro was born and grew up in Jerusalem, Israel. He studied design and architecture at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. After finishing his studies in the early 1990s, he moved to New York.
Even though he didn't go to film school, Noam Murro always dreamed of making movies. When he was younger, he worked at the Jerusalem Cinematheque. He watched many films there, which helped him learn about filmmaking. He worked as an usher and helped with the film reels. He did this for two years just to watch movies. Today, he lives in Los Angeles with his family.
His Career in Film
Noam Murro started his career directing commercials. He became very successful in advertising. He was nominated six times for the DGA Awards, which are awards for directors. He won one of these awards in 2005.
He also started a company called Biscuit Films with Shawn Lacy Tessaro. This company has made many popular advertising campaigns.
Directing Movies and Shows
Noam Murro made his first movie, Smart People, in 2008. It was a comedy shown at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2011, he was chosen to direct A Good Day to Die Hard. However, he later decided to direct 300: Rise of an Empire instead. This movie was a sequel to the popular film 300.
He also directed the miniseries Watership Down in 2018. He was also an executive producer for this show.
