Nobutaka Tanaka (田中 信孝, Tanaka Nobutaka, born June 10, 1971) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He was born in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
Playing Football
Nobutaka Tanaka was born on June 10, 1971. After finishing his studies at Tokyo University of Agriculture, he started his professional football career.
In 1994, he joined a team called Kashiwa Reysol. The next year, in 1995, he played in many games as a defensive midfielder. A defensive midfielder is a player who helps protect the team's goal from the opposing team's attacks. He played alongside another player named Takahiro Shimotaira. However, in 1996, he didn't get to play in any matches for Kashiwa Reysol.
Later in 1996, he moved to another team called Brummel Sendai. This team was part of the Japan Football League. He played for Brummel Sendai until the end of the 1997 season, when he decided to retire from playing football.
Becoming a Coach
After he stopped playing, Nobutaka Tanaka decided to become a football manager. In 2005, he became the manager for a team called Sagawa Express Tokyo. He led this team for two seasons.
In 2007, Sagawa Express Tokyo joined with another team, Sagawa Express Osaka, to form a new team called Sagawa Shiga. Nobutaka Tanaka then became a coach for this new team.
In 2008, he was given the chance to be the manager for Sagawa Shiga again. However, the team's results were not very good. Because of this, he was replaced as manager in October of that year.
