Nobuyasu Ikeda (池田 伸康, Ikeda Nobuyasu, born 18 May 1970) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder for several clubs in Japan during his career. He is best known for his time with Urawa Reds.
Playing Career Highlights
Nobuyasu Ikeda was born in Saitama, Japan, on May 18, 1970. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Waseda University, he joined his hometown club, the Urawa Reds, in 1993.
Time with Urawa Reds
At Urawa Reds, Ikeda often played as an attacking midfielder. This means he helped create chances for goals. He played many games for the team. However, his playing time became less in 1997. He stayed with Urawa Reds until 1999.
Moving to New Teams
In 2000, Ikeda moved to Kawasaki Frontale. This team had just been promoted to the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. Even though he joined a new team, he still didn't play as much as he used to.
The next year, in 2001, he moved to Mito HollyHock. This club played in the J2 League, which is the second division. He played for Mito HollyHock for two seasons. Nobuyasu Ikeda decided to retire from playing professional football at the end of the 2002 season. Overall, he played 145 league games and scored 6 goals in his career.
