James McCall, born on June 3, 1983, is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is best known by his stage names Nocando and All City Jimmy. Nocando is famous for winning the 2007 Scribble Jam competition, which is a major rap battle event. He also started a music group called Hellfyre Club. Besides his solo music, Nocando is a member of hip hop groups like Customer Service, Bomb Zombies, and Flash Bang Grenada.

Nocando's Music Journey

Starting Out and Rap Battles

Nocando first became known in South Los Angeles at places called Leimert Park's open-mic workshops. These are events where people can perform their music or poetry for an audience. He also became very good at rap battles, where two or more rappers compete using improvised rhymes. People say he won over a hundred battles against other rappers. After a while, he decided to focus more on making and releasing his own music. He only battled occasionally after that.

Releasing His Music

In 2010, Nocando released his first official album, Jimmy the Lock. It came out on Alpha Pup Records. Many talented producers helped create the music for this album, including Thavius Beck and Nosaj Thing. That same year, he also released an EP called Sincerely Yours. This was a team-up with producer Nobody as the group Bomb Zombies.

In 2011, Nocando worked with rapper Busdriver to create an album called 10 Haters. They formed a group called Flash Bang Grenada. This album was even listed as one of the "50 Unheralded Albums from 2011" by a music website called Alarm.

Nocando continued to release new music. In 2012, he put out a free EP called Zero Hour. He also released two singles, "Where's the Money?" and "Up in the Air." A single is usually one or two songs released on their own. In 2013, he released another single called "Little Green Monsters." His second solo album, Jimmy the Burnout, came out in 2014.

In 2017, Nocando released an album called Severed. Music critics really liked it. HipHopDX said it was "one of Nocando's most powerful albums." Another website, Uproxx, named it the 24th best rap album of 2017. He also released another album that year called King Snake.

A New Name

In 2019, Nocando decided to change his stage name. He started going by All City Jimmy. He even removed all his music released under the name Nocando from online music stores.
