James McCall (born June 3, 1983) is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is best known by his stage names Nocando and All City Jimmy. He is a skilled rapper who won the famous Scribble Jam rap battle competition in 2007.

Nocando is also the founder of the music label Hellfyre Club. He has been a member of several hip hop groups, including Customer Service, Bomb Zombies, and Flash Bang Grenada.

Musical Career

Nocando started his journey in the world of hip hop at open-mic events in South Los Angeles. These are events where anyone can get on stage and perform. He became famous in the rap battle community, where rappers compete against each other using clever rhymes. It is said he won over a hundred battles. After becoming a champion, he began to focus more on creating and releasing his own music.

First Albums and Projects

In 2010, Nocando released his first official album, Jimmy the Lock, on the Alpha Pup Records label. Many talented producers helped create the album's sound, including Nosaj Thing and Daedelus.

That same year, he teamed up with the producer Nobody to form the group Bomb Zombies. Together, they released an EP called Sincerely Yours.

A year later, in 2011, Nocando worked with fellow rapper Busdriver to form another group, Flash Bang Grenada. They released an album together called 10 Haters. The music magazine Alarm recognized it as one of the best albums of that year.

Later Music and Name Change

Nocando continued to release new music. In 2012, he gave fans a free EP called Zero Hour. In 2014, he released his second solo album, Jimmy the Burnout.

In 2017, he released two more projects, Severed and King Snake. The website HipHopDX described Severed as one of his most powerful albums. Another site, Uproxx, listed it as one of the top rap albums of 2017.

In 2019, Nocando decided to change his stage name to All City Jimmy. After this change, his older music under the name Nocando was removed from online music stores.
