Regan Farquhar (born February 12, 1978), known by his stage name Busdriver, is an American rapper and music producer from Los Angeles. He is known for his unique style in hip hop music.

Busdriver has worked with many other artists. Some of these include rappers like Myka 9, R.A.P. Ferreira, Nocando, and Open Mike Eagle. He has also collaborated with producers such as Daedelus and Nobody.

Busdriver's Early Life and Music Journey

Regan Farquhar was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 12, 1978. He grew up around music, especially hip hop. His father, Ralph Farquhar, was a writer for the 1985 film Krush Groove, which was about hip hop.

Regan started rapping when he was just nine years old. By the time he was 13, he was part of a group called 4/29. This group was formed after the 1992 Los Angeles riots. When he was 16, he joined the Project Blowed scene, which is a famous hip hop workshop in Los Angeles.

Busdriver's Albums and Projects

Busdriver released his first solo album, Temporary Forever, in 2002. Two years later, in 2004, he released Cosmic Cleavage with the record label Big Dada.

In 2007, he put out RoadKillOvercoat through Epitaph Records. Another album, Jhelli Beam, came out in 2009. He also helped produce the album Watergate for the group Thirsty Fish in 2009.

In 2010, Busdriver released a free music collection called Computer Cooties. That same year, he started a band called Physical Forms with Jeff Byron. They released a special single called Hoofdriver with the band Deerhoof.

Busdriver also formed a group called Flash Bang Grenada with rapper Nocando. Their first album, 10 Haters, was released in 2011.

His solo album, Beaus$Eros, came out in 2012. Later that year, he released a free collection of songs called Arguments with Dreams. In 2014, he released Perfect Hair through Big Dada.

In 2017, Busdriver appeared in the movie Kuso, which was directed by Flying Lotus. His most recent studio album, Electricity Is on Our Side, was released in 2018.
