Ralph Farquhar is a talented American producer and writer for movies and TV shows. He was born on September 19, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. He has helped create many popular shows that you might have seen or heard about!
Ralph Farquhar's Journey
Ralph Farquhar first studied at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Later, he earned a degree in communications from the University of Illinois. This education helped him prepare for a career in film and television.
He is famous for co-creating three sitcoms (funny TV shows) that were set in South Central, Los Angeles. One was called South Central on the Fox channel. With Sara Finney-Johnson and Vida Spears, he also co-created Moesha and its spin-off show, The Parkers. Moesha starred the singer and actress Brandy, and The Parkers featured Countess Vaughn and Mo'Nique. These shows were very popular!
Ralph Farquhar has also written for other well-known TV shows. These include Happy Days, Fame, and Married... with Children. He has also worked as an executive producer, which means he helped manage the making of shows like The Sinbad Show, The Proud Family, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. He also wrote the movie Krush Groove in 1985, which starred the music group Run-DMC.
In 2020, Ralph Farquhar signed a special deal with Disney. This means he will be creating more exciting projects for Disney in the future!
