College Basketball and Early Career
Noel Felix played college basketball for the Fresno State team from 1999 to 2003. After college, he started his professional career in 2003.
He played for several teams, including the Shanghai Sharks in China and the Idaho Stampede in the United States. He also played for Carife Ferrara in Italy.
Success in the CBA
Noel Felix became very successful in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). In the 2005–06 season, he played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
During this season, he was named the CBA Defensive Player of the Year. This award goes to the best defensive player in the league. He also earned a spot on the All-CBA First Team, which means he was one of the top players overall.
Time in the NBA
In March 2006, Noel Felix signed a short contract with the Seattle SuperSonics, an NBA team. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the NBA draft but was signed directly by a team.
He played in 12 games for the SuperSonics. He averaged 1.5 points per game. Later that month, he was signed for the rest of the season. In October 2006, the SuperSonics decided to release him from the team.
Playing Overseas and in the D-League
After his time with the SuperSonics, Noel Felix continued his career. In October 2006, he signed a two-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.
He also spent time playing in the NBA Development League (now called the G League). He played for teams like the Anaheim Arsenal, Springfield Armor, and Maine Red Claws.
Noel Felix also played for teams in other countries. In 2011, he joined the Dacin Tigers in the Super Basketball League in Taiwan. He played for many different teams around the world until he finished his career in 2015.
