Noonday is a small, historic place in Cobb County, Georgia, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a recognized area, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's governed by the county.
Noonday is located in the northern part of Cobb County. You can find it around the Noonday Baptist Church, which is still an active church today. On maps from the 1860s, the name was sometimes spelled as Noon Day.
Where Noonday Got Its Name
The community of Noonday gets its name from a nearby stream called Noonday Creek. This creek flows through the area. Another community called Blackwells is located just south of Noonday.
