North Valley is a special kind of community in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a place that the government counts for the census, but it's not officially a city or town.
In 2010, about 11,333 people lived there. North Valley is part of the larger Albuquerque area.

Geography of North Valley
North Valley covers a total area of about 18.2 square kilometers (about 7 square miles). Most of this area is land. Only a very small part, about 0.08 square kilometers (0.03 square miles), is water.

North Valley has a very dry climate, like a desert. It's known as an arid climate.
Temperatures and Seasons
- Summers: Summers are very hot and dry. Temperatures often reach 38°C (100°F) or even higher. The "monsoon season" starts in late June or early July. This brings some moist air and can cause thunderstorms.
- Winters: Winters are usually mild. Days are warm, but nights can be cold. Snowfall is rare, with only about 3.7 inches (9.4 cm) on average each year. If it snows, it usually melts quickly.
- Spring: Spring can be windy, sometimes with blowing dust. But generally, it's a pleasant time of year.
- Fall: Fall brings cooler, drier weather. Nights can get a bit chilly. This is a great time to see the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta from your own yard!
